Narrative of a Second Expedition to the Shores of the Polar Sea
|
| Personal use licence: $29.95. |
Expedition TimelineThe Second expedition benefited from the earlier experience. It was split into two detachments: Western, under Franklin, mapped the coast westwards from Mackenzie River. The Eastern party, under Dr. Richardson, mapped the coast between Mackenzie and Coppermine Rivers. The surveys were almost routine compared to the first Expedition and returned with over 5,000 miles of coastline charted.
